25% OFF! My Spring Makeup Bag: 3 Easy, Pretty Must-Haves

Tina, here.

I'm an entrepreneur hound. I obsessively read about them, track them down in the wild, and will shyly approach to talk to them. I am an entrepreneur myself, and we're a funny bunch. As the saying goes, we'll trade in a 40-hour week working for someone else to work 80 hours for ourselves. We're willing to ride (or more accurately, drive) the struggle bus time after time if we know it will get us to our goal. People think we're crazy. But really, we just have a high tolerance for feast and famine, for adaptability. We can pivot on a dime and accelerate in a better direction when required. Our mistakes make for great war stories, and teachers. All this sounds really heady and what does it have to do with my Spring makeup bag? Linda Roberts.

Linda is one of my heroes. She is credited with bringing "prestige cosmetics" to an up-and-coming town, Nashville, 37 years ago when she opened Private Edition. And when I opened my business 10 years ago, I chose Private Edition as the place we would bring our clients for beauty makeovers. One day a couple years ago Linda was in the store (well, she's probably always in the store, but as an owner you're more often in the back working on your business, not in your business out front, a huge shift every entrepreneur has to make to be successful), and I approached her like a star-struck fan and told her how much I admired her and thanked her over and over for being so kind to my clients when we brought them in her store. Being the Southern force she is, she gave me a huge smile, embraced me and made me feel like she knew exactly who I was and that she wanted to meet me, and before I knew it we were talking about under-eye concealers and sunscreen with a terrific amount of passion and technical detail. I mean, if that isn't the definition of grace and elegance and being real and dedicated, I don't know what is. I just love her.

But Linda wasn't satisfied with just helping Nashvillians alone. Entrepreneurs rarely are satisfied. We are built to build. Linda found a way to both fill a void in the skincare world and reach women outside Nashville by creating her own line of skincare, Therapy Systems, that she could sell in her own store, and online to any woman, anywhere. Her beauty and skincare products have been featured by dozens of magazines, including the jackpot of mags, O! the Oprah Magazine, who featured her face oil. And now Therapy Systems is celebrating 25 years! That screams these products work to me. So with her skincare line celebrating 25 years and Private Edition, her in-town store, celebrating 37 years, I wanted to celebrate with Linda! And she's giving you 25% OFF!

And I realized, if you're a minimalist like I am (in makeup, not clothes ha!), these are really the only 3 products you need this Spring, plus mascara (and sunscreen, always sunscreen)! Read the post linked below for my favorite sunscreen!
