But now what are you going to wear on the 4th of July?? Let's plan it now so you can avoid last-minute mistakes. I bet you already have in your closet what you need to look and feel festive and patriotic.

First, watch this little video for my best tip on dressing for the Fourth of July.

I've got my white jeans (or you can wear a white denim skirt - this one has a smooth placket -  or white shorts - these are scalloped - if jeans are too hot) and a colorful top (similar) that at least has some red. Wearing red and blue together on The Fourth is like Christmas: I don't like wearing red and green together. But either red or green with winter white is oh so much more flattering. Ditto red or blue with white. Unless it's a subtle pattern.

I kind of think my top looks like fireworks! Shop similar below.

Since it's difficult to wear a strapless bra, don't forget your Silicon Nipple Covers!

My frayed hem white jeans are almost gone, so I've given you a few more similar options below!

Thanks for reading and may your celebration mean everything to you and your family it does to me.

“So let freedom ring from the prodigious hilltops of New Hampshire. Let freedom ring from the mighty mountains of New York. Let freedom ring from the heightening Alleghenies of Pennsylvania! Let freedom ring from the snowcapped Rockies of Colorado! Let freedom ring from the curvaceous peaks of California! But not only that; let freedom ring from Stone Mountain of Georgia! Let freedom ring from Lookout Mountain of Tennessee! Let freedom ring from every hill and every molehill of Mississippi. From every mountainside, let freedom ring.” – Martin Luther King Jr.
