Now Released! July Must-Haves For Every Shape

Tina, here.

The month of July is full-on summer with a capital “S.” It’s peach cobblers, running around barefoot all day, fireworks at night and falling asleep under the stars if you’re lucky. I want you to bask in the wonder that is the American summer. I spent my summers growing up in a magical place called Monteagle where you got on your bike at 9:00 in the morning and ran wild and free until you collapsed on the front porch around midnight. Who knows what the parents were doing. We were playing Capture the Flag, caving, hiking, picking blueberries, swimming, watching the bats fly around the old auditorium where the movies played, and dancing to the jukebox. My first kiss was in Monteagle. Relive some of the magic of your youthful summers this month. The all-American summer is for everyone. It’s filled with lore and romance. Here’s what you’ll be wearing. After all, “America. It’s not just a good idea.” ~Bono

All New July Must-Haves

Early Access Insiders have already been enjoying & shopping this post. Join our free trial TODAY to get early access to posts like this and all the extra goodies that only Insiders get!

1. The Most Flattering Dress Shape Is A Wrap-Style

A wrap cuts you on the diagonal and both creates a waistline and camouflages the mid-section at the same time. And, wonder of wonders, it minimizes the well-endowed, and maximizes the less so. Weird how a wrap dress (or top) does this, but trust me. It does.

Wear the wrap dress.

2. Scalloped 7" Shorts (you won't believe where these are from!)

Shorts are, well, let's just say I have a love-hate relationship with them. I find myself needing them on occasion. Too long and they look dumpy; too short and they look tacky. So I've discovered I loooove scalloped edge shorts, about 6 or 7". These are 7". If they are too wide, just have them taken in up the legs.

Wear the shorts.

3. Swimsuit

It is the year of the one piece. Stock up now. What to look for: support! Underwire is a must for me, as are molded cups. This gives full coverage as well. Ruching is a godsend for those of us wanting to hide the mid-section. I also have found that the balconette is quite flattering.

Wear the Swimsuit.

4. Cover-up

I just really can't have you skimping on the cover-up. It's like wearing cut-offs to the grocery. Just throw a little effort at it and you can give your family and friends sweet memories of you by the pool or at the beach, and especially when you head up to the bathroom or to grab a drink. No gym shorts allowed, either, m'kay cupcakes?

Wear the Coverup

5. Cork Pumps

I have some cork pumps that when I wear them, I promise you I could sell them 25 times a day. People go nuts over them! Cork is a great material - it's hard wearing (more so than raffia), and it's quite comfortable and soft on your feet. And they're NUDE! Aka, the leg-extending color of shoes. Dress them up or down, as I did below.

Wear the Cork Pumps

6. Pear-shape CZ Studs

Big trend alert. Pear and marquise diamonds are making a comeback. Get ahead of it this Summer with these CZ studs. I promise you, you'll love them. Nice for a change, ya know? And, just like a broken record, wear them with jeans or a dress.

Wear the studs.
