I have some wardrobe style hacks (some new, some repeats) that I think will make your life easier, and certainly make getting dressed a bit more fun. Because who has time to waste worrying about deodorant marks, headlights and blisters? Especially if your life is being captured daily by kids and friends and plastered on Facebook or Instagram. Our wardrobes have to be in tip-top shape for this kind of digital age, am I right? (By the way, check out our Facebook and Instagram pages, and give us a follow!)

(New Addition) It all starts with pretty storage. If you're gonna have tools, you need to store them in a pretty place. I keep mine in a Tiffany blue box on a closet shelf.

Tina's Top 10 Style Hacks

Here are my top 9 out of 11 wardrobe hacks from my toolbox. Let's go through them one by one.

(New Addition) Wait, how did I forget the Invisibelt ? It's a must-have style hack for sure. Wear it with your pants and jeans under thin sweaters and untucked tops to give you a smooth finish.

1. Leather and Suede Water Repellant

A client introduced me to this leather and suede water repellent. I use it on all my handbags and shoes. And I apply a fresh coat every new season. You'll keep your leathers from getting wet spots in the rain.

2. Deodorant Remover Sponge

So annoying. You put on deodorant. Then pull your blouse or t-shirt overhead, and now you have white skidmarks from your deodorant on your clothes. Even from clear deodorant! This sponge takes care of that, and also removes makeup smears in some case.

3. Blister Prevention

Seriously smart invention for breaking in new shoes or boots. Just rub it where you're prone to get blisters, and this should reduce the friction-causing pain.

4. Cadillac Sneaker (and Handbag) Wipes

Tina's Wardrobe Hacks

This is the gold standard in handbag wipes. It's what Chanel uses, after all. I learned about it from Nordstrom, so I'll give them the credit. You get major points if you use these after every carry. The shoe or handbag wipes are ok.

5. Lint Rollers

Tina's Wardrobe Hacks

A good ole fashion lint roller. Keep them in your closet, your hall closet (for guests), your car and your office. I get mine off Amazon, and use Evercare.

6. Not just your ordinary Fashion Tape

Tina's Wardrobe Hacks

I learned this trick from Amanda, one of our first stylists we ever had. She used it to tape anywhere she had a blister. I've also used it to tape my 3rd and 4th toes together when wearing heels. It is supposed to alleviate pain in the ball of your feet.

7. 4-Way Leather and Suede Brush Cleaner

Tina's Wardrobe Hacks

The ladies at Marmi Shoes gave me one of these 4-way suede brushes when I bought some boots, and they showed me that if you brush your suede shoes each time you wear them, your suede will stay in great shape and not get nappy. Use the soft brush for daily use, the harsher bristles for removing dirt, and I'm snot sure what the side brush is for :). The sharp corner is for the edges of your shoes, to remove dirt that gets caked in there. I'm a believer.

8. Ball of Foot Cushion Pads

Tina's Wardrobe Hacks

Pay attention here because I would say 99% of women are inserting these incorrectly. And a salesperson in a shoe department is probably the one who taught you wrong!

Tina's Wardrobe Hacks

People always want to stuff these, point first, with the larger end towards your heel, and the point towards your toes. And they stuff it all the way in the front of the toebed. The problem with this is that you're (1) filling up the footbed and making your toes cramped, (2) not getting the ball of foot support you need.

Tina's Wardrobe Hacks

Instead, the point always goes towards your heel, away from the toes.

Tina's Wardrobe Hacks

Don't place the pad all the way in the front of the toebed. It should rest right under the balls of your feet, and your toes should hang over the ends. This way, you're getting support without cramping your toes in the front. There are all kinds of these available, from lots of serious support.

9. Dimmers for your Headlights

Tina's Wardrobe Hacks

Nipple cover because, well, you know. Silicone dimmers go right between your skin and bra. Warm them between your hands first before placing (the heat is what helps them adhere), and wash after every use.

10. Camis

Do you have this problem? Bulging, gaping tops? You think you can't wear button down or sheer blouses, but au contraire my dears. You may even being staying away from pretty dresses and skirts you love, all because you don't know the secret to what goes under your clothes.

Tina's Wardrobe Hacks

You need these underpinnings to keep your blouses from gaping. Just 3 colors: white, vanilla (not nude, not beige, but vanilla) and black.
