Under $100 Each, Five Pieces You Need Right This Minute

Tina, here.

Are you itching for something fresh and new in your wardrobe? Something you can easily throw on and run out the door that isn't that same old pair of black pants? Me too. It snowed here yesterday. About 18 flakes, but still, snow. Instead of taking a snow day, I tried creating excitement for the day by shopping my closet and looking for ways to wear a few new pieces I have. These five new pieces are SO exciting let me tell me you. Grey turtleneck, white jeans, black pashmina, and a couple other accessories. Earth shattering. Life changing. Ha not really; but they do fit right into my clean, classic look, which means they will go with pretty much everything else in my closet, plus they'll take me into Spring! I'm ready to bring them into the rotation. And the good news is, each piece is under $100! I've tracked them down for you and am showing you how to introduce some new life into your January wardrobe - I've added some color, too, in the mix and match outfit collages. :)

Five Under $100 Pieces You Need Right This Minute

Earth shattering I know. But I wanted to wear my new straight jeans, but with what on a cold day? A cozy turtleneck, some new light-colored ankle boots (the tall weatherproof boots work better over skinny jeans), and that 3rd piece, the finisher - an oversized pashmina. Oh, and some killer sliced agate earrings, which were a gift. I found some very similar for you.

Ok so I added something else in the collages because I really, really, really like Le Chameau boots and they are your pricey alternative to the Hunter's, which a lot of you probably already own - the Le Chameau's rubber is superior, softer, and your feet don't sweat. But they're over $100.

Guess what, you can wear all these items together as one outfit. I also put together a few more outfits you can mix and match (my favorite phrase) with your boots, even on a regular sunny day.

Clockwise from top L: J.Crew Supersoft Yarn Turtleneck Sweater, $66.50 $95 | Woven Fringe Trim Ruana, $21.97 $73.50 | Le Chameau Women's Vierzon Jersey Lined Boots, $169 | AG Prima Mid-Rise Cigarette Sateen Jeans in White, $188 (pictured are my new straight jeans, but I decided you need skinny jeans for the tall boots) | Hunter Women's Slim Fit Tall Rain Boots, $83–99 $165 |Sole Society Blue Lace Agate  Crystal Drop Earrings, $58

Mix and Match with some of the same pieces, add a neckerchief for some color and a trench!

Clockwise from top L: Manipuri Belted Silk Scarf, $95 $135 | Classic Cotton Cashmere V-Neck Sweater, $165 | Court & Rowe Plaid Lined Double Breasted Trench Coat, $179.40 $299 | Original Hunter Field Technical Knitted Tall Boot Socks, $25 | Le Chameau Women's Vierzon Jersey Lined Boots, $169 | AG Prima Mid-Rise Cigarette Sateen Jeans in White, $188 | AG Prima Mid Rise Cigarette Jeans, $79.97 $188

More mixing...How about a pink pashmina or raincoat to cheer up a dreary Winter day? I have a coral cocoon coat from TJMaxx. It's sold out there, but here are some similar ones. In the outfit collage, I used a raincoat version, way less expensive.

Clockwise from top L: J.Crew Supersoft Yarn Turtleneck Sweater, $66.50 $95 | C by Bloomingdale's Cashmere Travel Wrap$79.20 $198 | Sole Society Blue Lace Agate  Crystal Drop Earrings, $58 | Talbots Drawcord Raincoat$179–199 | Sam Edelman Women's Sally Snake-Print Pointed Toe Flats, $120 | Elliott Lauren Control Stretch Pull-On Ankle Pants with Back Slit Detail, $78 $130
