Wrapping Presents, Embellished and Personalized - The Stylish Girl's Easy Guide to the Holidays - Day 19

Wrapping presents is a joy known to those of us who love beautiful papers and ribbons and gift tags the way a bibliophile loves the smell of leather bound books. I was the designated wrapper of all gifts in our household, and I took the greatest pleasure in it. The holidays are our Olympics. Game on.

But life is different now. I've got time to wrap presents like I've got time to prepare home-cooked meals at the end of a long day. Going with my winter woodland theme, I literally grabbed what I had and came up with this holiday wrapping scheme. Its variations are limitless.

Your wrapping tools are craft paper, craft paper gift tags on twine, velvet and silk ribbons, gold and silver paint pens, and any kind of little ornaments you have lying around for toppers.

I found glitter sticky letters and some adorable little trees I got on sale at Michael's last year after the holidays. Add tape, glue and scissors.

A beautiful bow is a difference-maker.

Just glue your little toppers right on top.

I used a paint pen on my gift tags.

And you can add any special message of joy you'd like to send.

But seriously, if you don't have the time for all this, buy these beautiful gift boxes I saw at Target. I'd totally repurpose them for another use.

Merry, merry!
