One Day Only: The Black Friday Sale Of Summer

Tina, here.

I went 2 months last winter without going to the grocery store. I had my food delivered, not by a fancy food or meal delivery company, but by Amazon. If I hadn't ordered fresh fruits and veggies every time I ate out (which was a lot), I probably would have gotten jaundice or something. So I don't recommend getting your groceries only from Amazon. But you know what I learned? I can get just about everything else from Amazon. Are they really taking over the world? Maybe. They def are taking over Tuesday July 11, 2017, aka the Black Friday Sale of Summer. It's a bit overwhelming.

Since spying on other people's shopping carts in the checkout line, whether you're at the grocery or Nordstrom, is so entertaining, in a creepy sort of way, I thought I'd let you see my Amazon Prime shopping cart.

Here's the skinny, + what's in my cart.

WHAT TO BUY

This is actually my Wishful Thinking shopping cart, if I could buy everything I really wanted to. (Don't forget, you have to be a Prime member to get these deals, but it's free.)

For My Closet

I want a good basic (but fabulous) cashmere turtleneck. And a cognac handbag. These are my classic investments. Then, I'd love to replace my fedora I lost, and I reeeallly want an extra pair of sneakadrilles, so this is a good time to snag them, I figured. And who doesn't love a pretty wrap.

Electronics

It's hard for me to part with my money for electronics, so I buy on sale. Almost always.

For The Home

Again, buying what I need, and what I've put off to get (the copper mugs and the log cover are kind of things I've wanted but waited on).

Buy In Bulk

I never remember to buy batteries! And I want one of these dry shampoos in every bathroom. And car.

For The Gift Drawer (or me)

PERFECT time to buy gifts and stock up for upcoming birthdays or last-minute hostess gifts.

For Back To School

This Prime Day thing is kind of new to me, too, so I hope this guide helps you think about what are some good things to buy now. But DO NOT buy something just because it's on sale. That's my cardinal rule of sale shopping. Only purchase what you would want at full price. Mkay cupcakes?

Thanks for reading and Happy black Tuesday!
